Found in Queensland and New South Wales in in grasslands and in rocky sites at elevations of 150 to 300 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the earlier spring on an erect, 14 to 20" [35 to 50 cm] long, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, strongly scented flowers
