Found in New South Wales in grassy subalpine meadows amd among rocks at elevations of 700 to 800 meters as a medium to just large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, 12.8 to 24.8" [32 to 62 cm] long, 5 to 25 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, fragrant flowers
