Found in Western Australia in wandoo woodlands and on winter wet flats at elevations of 10 to 300 meters as a small to just large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 7.2 to 22" [18 to 55 cm] long, 10 to 30 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate flowers
