Found in southwest Western Australia in swamps and seasonally wet areas at elevations of 5 to 200 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 16 to 40" [40 to 100 cm] long, 15 to 35 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, strongly fragrant flowers
