Common Name French's Prasophyllum - In Australia The Maroon Leek Orchid
Flower Size .32 to .44" [.8 to 1.1 cm]
Found in Victoria and South Australia in grassland, heathland and grassy to heathy forests at elevations of 5 to 650 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in spring on an erect, 19.2 to 30" [48 to 75 cm] long, 20 to 65 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, scented flowers
