Found in southwest Western Australia in forests, shrublands and grassy flats at elevations of 10 to 250 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, 32 to 60" [80 to 150 cm] long, 20 to 60 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate flowers
