Found in Victoria in River Red Gum forests in winter wet sites often submerged at elevations of 120 to 220 meters as a medium to just large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in later spring on an erect, 15.2 to 32" [38 to 65 cm] long, 12 to 30 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, strongly scented flowers
