Found in southwest Western Australia in shrublands and malleee vegetation at elevations of 200 to 350 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, 15.8 to 26" [39 to 65 cm] long, 10 to 35 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, slightly fragrant flowers
