Found in Tasmania Australia in old growth woodlands among dense grass tussocks at elevations around 20 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 20" to 32" [50 to 80 cm] long, rachis 2.4 to 8.8" [6 to 22 cm] long, 12 to 25 flowered inflorescence carrying lightly scented flowers.
