Common Name The ?Prasophyllum - In Australia The Highland Leek Orchid

Flower Size .2 to .32" [5 to 8 mm]

Found in Tasmania Australia in subalpine areas among dense grass tussocks, sedgy grasslads and moorlands at elevations of 650 to 1150 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, 8 to 14" [20 to 35 cm] long, rachis 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence carrying unscented flowers.
