Common Name The Pungent Prasophyllum - In Australia The Pungent Leek Orchid

Flower Size .28 to .36" [7 to 9 mm]

Found in Tasmania Australia in native grasslands at elevations around 200 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 14 to 24" [35 to 60 cm] long, rachis 2.4 to 4.8" [6 to 12 cm] long, 10 to 30 flowered inflorescence carrying strongly scented flowers.
