Found in Western Australia on swamp margins, in depressions and on rock outcrops at elevations of 100 to 350 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, 10 to 20.4" [25 to 52 cm] long, 10 to 35 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate flowers
