Found in Victoria and South Australia in mallee scrubland and broombrush at elevations of 10 to 100 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a slender, grren to yellowish green stem carrying a single, clasping leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 5.6 to 23.5" [14 to 28 cm] long, 3 to 12 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, scented flowers
