Found in New South Wales and ACT in grasslands and grassy sites in woodlands at elevations of 550 to 650 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 9.6 to 19.2" [24 to 48 cm] long, 5 to 20 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, strongly scented flowers
