Found in Western Australia in shrubby forests and shrublands at elevations of 10 to 300 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the late winter through spring on an erect, 15.2 to 30" [38 to 75 cm] long, more or less densely 15 to 50 flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate flowers
