Found in Tasmania Australia in sedgy and heathy habitats at elevations around 5 to 80 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 8 to 16" [20 to 40 cm] long, rachis 3.2 to 1.8" [8 to 22 cm] long, 10 to 25 flowered inflorescence carrying lightly scented flowers.
