Found in southwest Western Australia in wet to moist sites in woodlands at elevations of 10 to 300 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, 14 to 30" [35 to 75 cm] long, 10 to 35 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, fragrant flowers
