Found in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania Australia in subalpine herbfields at elevations of 1400 to 1700 meters on the mainland and 790 to 860 meters in Tasmania as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, 11.2 to 21.6" [28 to 54 cm] long, 6 to 18 flowered inflorescence with strongly scented flowers .
