Found in Victoria Australia at elevations of 150 to 200 meters in basalt plains in open forests and grasslands as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 6 to 14" [15 to 35 cm] long, 10 to 25 flowered inflorescence carrying strongly scented flowers.
