Found in New South Wales and Victoria Australia in tall moist to wet forests or on rainforest margins at elevations of 10 to 250 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 13.4 to 27.6" [34 to 69 cm] long, 5 to 30 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, scented flowers
