Found in New South Wales Australia in snowgum woodlands, grassy flats and swamps at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a single, stem clasping leaf that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 13.2 to 24" [33 to 60 cm] long, 15 to 45 flowered inflorescence and carrying non-resupinate, scented flowers
