Common Name The Filiform Prescottia

Found in Cauca department of Colombia at elevations around 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with 3 to 4, basal, oblong-ellitpic, apiculate, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, terminal, subflexuous, delicate, glabrous, peduncle 3.2 to 10.8" [8 to 27 cm] long, rachis to 3.6" [9 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with elliptic-lanceolate to lanceolate-ovate, glabrous, acuminate, floral bracts.
"Distinguished from all others in its lip that is almost arrow-shaped basally, then ovate, strongly culm-shaped, concave and very clearly pointed, and of a much thinner consistency than in other species." Schlechter 1920
