Common Name Glaziou's Prescotia [French Gardener, director of Rio Public Gardens later 1800's]

Flower Size small

Found in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janiero Brazil at higher locations as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a single, radical, erect, elliptic-oblong, finely nerved venation, acute, attenuate below intothe elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, 2.4 to 3.2" [6 to 8 cm] long, slightly sinuous, cylinrical, laxly few flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, glabrous, longer than the ovary floral bracts.

CAUTION I am not convinced completely with this determination as Hoehne states that the inflorescence is laxly few flowered and this one definitely is not.
