Common Name or Meaning The Eight Pollina Prescottia

Found in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janiero states of Brazil at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with 2 to 3, dark green, faintly veined, ovate-lanceolate, acute, alternate, attenuate into the pseudo-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, thin, green, erect, spicate, to 32" [80 cm] long, rachis 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, to 80 flowered inflorescence holding the flowers in the upper third of the stem and with oblong-lanceolate, long acuminate, glabrous, slightly longer than the ovary floral bracts.
