Common Name The Plantago-Leafed-Like Prescottia
Flower Size .25" [6 mm]
Found in Rio de Janiero, Minas Gerais and Goias states of Brazil in the coastal montane rainforest as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with very pilose roots giving rise to an erect stem carrying 2 basal, elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle 8 to 20" [20 to 50 cm] long, provided with 6 various sized, acuminate sheathing bracts, rachis 2.4 to 10" [6 to 25 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with erect, thinly membraneous, as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying greenish yellow flowers.
