Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with pilose roots giving rise to an erect stem with oblong, acute, basally clasping leaves held in an asscending rosette that blooms on an erect, enveloped by tubular, acute bracts, densely many flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
