Found in the Bismark Islands, New Caledonia and Vanuatu in rain forests at elevations of 200 to 1600 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with 3 to 8 ovate, dark silky-velvety green, mid vein and marginal lateral veins pale merald green, undulate marginally, basally clasping leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, terminal, pubescent, rachis 3" [7.5 cm] long, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence
