Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in wet montane forests at elevations of 750 to 2100 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte on mossy rocks with ovoid-fusiform to oval pseudobulbs enveloped almost completely in youth by several, imbricate, scarious, sheaths carrying 2 apical, linear, acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on a terminal, erect, 4" [10 cm] long, racemose inflorescence arising on a newly maturing pseudobulb with minute floral bracts and carrying 4 to 12, non-resupinate, star-shaped flowers.
