Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations of 1100 to 1400 meters as a small to large sized, cool growing, caespitose rupicolous orchid with obovate, rugose pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 5, apical, linear-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, erect, paniculate, 1 to 5 branched, each branch 3 to 6 flowered, 12 to 16" [30 to 40 cm] long, 12 to 15 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute floral bracts.
