Found in New Guinea in primary montane forests in damp moist places on thick trees at elevations around 150 meters as a giant sized, hot growing scandent terrestro-epiphyte with an elongate, leafy stem carrying erect, dark green, lanceolate-elliptic, acuminate, glabrous, oblique, cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late spring on several lateral, sublax, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence.
