Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 350 meters as a medium to large sized, hot growing caespitose, rupicolous orchid with obovate, slightly flattened pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, apical, linear-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, peduncle 6" [15 cm] long, rachis to 4" [10 cm] long, slightly curved, racemose, 10" [25 cm] long overall, 8 to 10 flowered inflorescence initially enveloped by 6 to 8 clasping bracts and with triangular floral bracts.
