Common Name Krug's Psychilis [German Plant Enthusiat 1800's]

Endemic to Puerto Rico in dry semi-deciduous, thorn-scrub forests at elevations of sea level to 300 meters as a large to giant sized, hot growing epiphyte or lithophyte with elongate, slender-pyriform to cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying to 4, apical, rigid to coriaceous, ligulate to linear-lanceolate, subacute to obtuse, erose dentate rarely entire margined leaves which blooms on a terminal erect, [1.9 meter] long, to 32 successively flowered inflorescence terminating in a bifid or trifid, densly many flowered rachis with the successive opening flowers occuring in the fall through spring.
