Found in Victoria Australia as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid occuring in poor soils growing in sheltered situations in drier forests at elevations of 5 to 150 meters with a basal rosette of leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on an erect, 3.2 to 10" [8 to 25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
