Found in New South Wales Australia in tall forests among shrubs adnd tussocks often on embankments at elevations of 900 to 1100 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a short stem carrying 3 to 6, in a rosette leaves that blooms in the late fall and winter on an erect, 8 to 12" [20 to 30 cm] long, provided with 5 to 7 leaves that often have abrownish apex, 1 to 7 flowered inflorescence .
