Common Name The Heart Shaped Column Pterostylis

Flower Size 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm]

Found on the northern island as well as the northwest of the southern island of New Zealand in lowland to montane forests and scrub as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with 4 to 6, stiff, straight, semi-erect, prominently keeled leaves that blooms in the mid spring on an erect, 1 flowered inflorecence.
