Found in New South Wales on slopes and ridges in drier forests at elevations of 400 to 1000 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with 3 to 6 leaves that blooms in the Australian late winter and early spring with an erect, 2 to 8.8" [5 to 22 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence.
