Found in New South Wales and Victoria Australia in the Central Victorian goldfields areas, often in disturbed ground on moss in open areas at elevations of 200 to 450 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of 6 to 10 leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, to 2" [to 5 cm] tall, erect, 2 to 6 flowered inflorescence with successively opening flowers.
