Found in New South Wales Australia at eelvations of 900 to 1200 meters on sheltered slopes in tall forests among grass and shrubs as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of a few flat leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 6 to 11" [15 to 28 cm], single flowered inflroescnece
