Found in Sumatra and western Java in lower montane forests on small branches at elevations around 1000 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped completely by the bases carrying a few linear-lanceolate, fleshy, narrowed and bidentate apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a terete, to 6" [to 15 cm] long, racemose, successively few, many flowered inflorescence with a flattened rachis that is half enveloped by imbricate, in two rows, very short and broad floral bracts from which 1 to a few very short lived flowers are open at any one time.
