Found in New South Wales and Victoria Australia at elevations of 300 to 1000 meters among shrubs and rocks on slopes and ridges as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of 6 to 15 leaves that blooms on an erect, 10 " [25 cm] long, 2 to 10, successively flowered inflorescence that arises in the spring
