Found in Western Australia in low scrub, fringing salt lakes, quartzite hills, woodlands and shallow clay depression over sheet limestone at eelvations of 150 to 350 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of 5 to 12 leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, [20 to 35 cm] long, 2 to 14 flowered inflorescence
