Found in Colombia?, Cusco department of Peru and La Paz department of Bolivia as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial in high wet montane forests on open grassy slopes at elevtions of 3000 to 3200 meters with thick-cylindric, glabrate roots with a leafless, glabrous below, densly glandular-pubescent above scape carrying several remote, close sheaths and has a short, densely few flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate3, glandular-puberulent, usually slightly longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, brown red flowers that blooms in the spring in nature.
