Found in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania in grassy forests, woodlands, and grassland in well drained soils st elevations of 50 to 900 meters as a cool to cold growing terrestrial with a rosette of 6 to 12, dark green, flat margined leaves that blooms late winter through spring on an erect, 6 to 14" [15 to 35 cm] long, 2 to 20 flowered inflorescence with widely spaced, green, sometimes transparent flowers
