Found in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania states of Australia at elevations of 10 to 400 meters as a cool to cold growing terrestrial that has a basal rosette of cauline leaves when not blooming and small, lanceolate, tapering, acute, basally clasping leaves that occur up the stem and blooms in the summer and fall on an erect, 8" [20 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
