Common Name The Strongly Veined Pteroglossa

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of large, oblong to obovate-oblong, acute, undulate margined, pale green, sparsely flecked with clear green-white spots, membraneous, constricted at the base leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, enveloped by 6 to 8 spaced, darker, erect, acuminate, semi-amplexicaule, lanceolate sheathing bracts, rachis 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long, erect, covered in fine hairs, multiflowered inflorescence with elojngate-lanceolate, acuminate, puberulous, much shorter than the flowers floral bracts and carrying white flowers with pinkish red veins.
