Common Name The Spotted Pteroglossa

Flower Size .2 to .4" [5 to 1 cm]

Found in Venezuela, Brazil and Paraguay as a medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a large, rosulate, basal, oblong-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, dark green with the margins much lighter, erect to erect patent, sessile into the clasping base leaves that blooms in the spring as a new greowth arises, on a terminal, erect, 12 to 28" [30 to 70 cm ] long, glabrous below, puberulent-villous above, pale green, rachis 2.4 to 6" [6 to 15 cm] long, 6 to 15 flowered inflorescence with long-lanceolate, long acuminate, as long as the scented flowers floral bracts.
