Common Name The Royal Pteroglossa

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

Found in northeastern Argentina at elevations below 500 meters as a large sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, sparsely leafed stem carrying towards the base, short, obovate, the median ones, oblong, obtuse to rounded apically, white margined, and the superior leaves grading to bract-like leaves that blooms on a terminal, to 4.8" [12 cm] long, glandular-pilose, to 10 flowered inflorescence with large, lanceolate, acuminate, bracts that are almost as long as the flowers.
