Found in New South Wales Australia in tall open forests witha dense shrubby or grassy understorey as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with a wiry stem carrying 3 to 6, closely sheathing leaves and a rosette of 3 to 5, basal, ovate to cordate, flat margined, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 8 to 16"" [20 to 45 cm] long, 3 to 20 flowered inflorescence .
