Common Name The Papua Pterostylis

Flower Size 2" [5 cm] tall

Found in the Moluccas, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands in montane and subalpine forests at elevations of 750 to 3470 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial [mostly] and occasional epiphyte high on mossy tree ferns with globose, dark brown, glabrous tubers giving rise to a basal rosette of ovate-oblong, subacute, abruptly narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, single flowered inflorescence with a lanceolate, acute, concave floral bract.
