Found in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, at elevations of 50 to 800 meters where it favours grassland, grassy forest and woodland in well drained soils and is a miniature sized, cold to cool growing terrestrial orchid with a 6 to 12, ground hugging elliptical, dark green, marginally flat leaves that blooms in the late winter through the early summer on a terminal, erect, 4" [10 cm] tall, racemose inflorescence with several [2 to 20] flowers.
